Acting training for dancers and musicians

This Laboratory Theatre offers to dancers and musicians the possibility of going through the artistic expression where the sense and feeling of the words are the main components, where listening and reacting have to provoke authentic speech, where the original expresivity appears only when you leave your whole body to be affected by the imagination. Finding the need to verbalize something becomes one of the main objectives.

But don't get us wrong ; The pretensions of this Acting training is not to educate these artists as professionals actors, we have already in Córdoba a Superior Dramatic Art School for that. In this laboratory theatre the goal is for the artist to experience with words meanwhile they are developing their own arts: " When you are dancing, playing the guitar or singing there are some special moments that touch your emotions, affect deeply your thoughts, or make you change drastically the energy , there, you should use the words, those are the moments to verbalize a request, a question, an exclamation, a reflection, a reply, reprimand, petition, surprise, joy, doubt, confusion… those ones that you have translated before into your own art".

The acting training that Raquel Toledo proposes is full of exercises, games and dynamics specifically designed for dancers and singers. Her originality comes from the transformations of some techniques she uses while working with the musicians.
